Who I Am. What I Do.
As a registered dietitian nutritionist for over 20 years, I have a wealth of practical experience in nutrition education for audiences of all backgrounds and ages.
As a college professor, writer, nutrition counselor, and leader of worksite wellness programs, I have learned to find and translate the latest health research into practical information, tailoring nutrition and lifestyle advice to individuals.
As a mom, I want quick and easy tips to please everyone. I also want to encourage my kids and others to listen to their bodies, enjoy food, eat intuitively and mindfully, and live a healthy lifestyle. My success in these areas prompted this site so that you, too, can be the healthiest you!
As a patient myself, new to the world of eating gluten-free, I know how frustrating it can be to navigate a new food sensitivity or allergy. I comb the research and translate the science so you don't have to.
As a world traveler and amateur investigative reporter, I have explored local and cultural food practices, and believe there is no one perfect diet but an exciting assortment of dietary patterns that work.
As an environmentalist, I want to eat in a way that does not contribute to greenhouse gas emissions, dead zones, overfishing and water waste.
I can empathize with you... Demanding schedule. Tight budget. Stress. Finding time to exercise. Sleep difficulties. Slowing metabolism. Digestive issues. Genetic risks for heart disease, IBS, cancer, diabetes. I know your life is an important, exhilarating, messy medley that needs fine-tuning, and I can help:
